OK for those of you that missed this story on September 4th, here is an update on the fourth grader from Altamonte Elementary school in Altamonte, Florida who was bullied when he designed a shirt to wear during his school’s “College Color Day”.  He drew the University of Tennessee’s logo on paper and pinned it to an orange t-shirt he had from home because he didn’t have any official college team merch. After arriving at school, he came to class in tears after a group of girls made fun of his DIY t-shirt. His story went viral. UT created an official tee from the boy’s design and announced it on social that a portion of the t-shirt sales would go towards an anti-bullying  Stomp Out Bullying foundation.  Since then, more than 16,000 tees have been sold at the campus bookstore and the school has donated more than $120,000 to the organization. UT has also given this boy a full scholarship to attend the university. The money to pay for this scholarship will be from other sources.
